Most of what you read about AI is a launch video or a sermon.
makeyourmindup takes AI apart in plain English, shows you the evidence, and leaves the deciding to you. That’s the name. We follow the money, look under the hood and mind the gap. You make your mind up.
It’s free, and it comes out three times a week.
THREE DAYS, THREE QUESTIONS
Monday: follow.the.money. Every AI deal has a bill, and somebody pays it. Every Monday we trace the money from the invoice to the bank account, and show who comes out ahead and who gets stuck with the tab.
The question every piece answers: Where does the money move, and who ends up better or worse off?
Wednesday: under.the.hood. Every Wednesday we open up something that shipped and actually works. Every part gets a stamp, real or theatre, so you can see what does the work and what is there for the launch video.
The question every piece answers: What actually goes together in a shipped thing, and why did this one work?
Friday: mind.the.gap. Most weeks, a pile of AI stories look like they have nothing to do with each other. Every Friday we lay the threads side by side, show where they cross, and put a date on what we think happens next.
The question every piece answers: What is the pattern, and what does it mean is coming?
EVERY PIECE MAKES A CALL
Each piece ends with a prediction, a date and how sure we are. When the date arrives, we mark it held, broke or unclear, on a public scoreboard at makeyourmindup.ai. Misses go up as big as hits. If we’re going to tell you what’s coming, you should be able to check whether we got it right.
You won’t find jargon here, or sermons, or numbers without a source. The spelling is British throughout. Consider yourself warned.
WHO IT’S FOR
It’s for anyone who has to make real decisions about AI and wants the evidence before the opinion. If you run a business, invest in one, are building one, or just want to keep up without the jargon, it’s for you.
THE FIRST PIECE
When an AI agent does your shopping, who gets paid? In September, Amazon blocked Meta’s new AI shopping agent, and Shopify plugged it into checkout. Same AI agent, opposite answers. The first piece explains why, what it means for you, and where you could get stung.

Subscribe, and every piece lands in your inbox.
